Refund Policy

This page describes when and how refunds are issued for purchases made on "40 Stories to Break Your Comfort Zone."

All purchases are made in Telegram Stars. Refunds are processed through Telegram's native refund mechanism, which restores Stars to your Telegram wallet. We do not refund to fiat currency or cryptocurrency directly.

1. The general rule

Purchases of digital plans (single play, day, week, month, full arc, Founding 400) are generally final and non-refundable once the corresponding access has been activated, in line with the standard treatment of digital goods under most consumer-protection regimes.

However, we will issue refunds in the specific situations below.

2. When you ARE entitled to a refund

Technical failure on our side

If you paid for a plan and the Service failed to provision access — for example, you bought a Day pass but the game continued to require payment, or your Stars were deducted but no purchase record exists in your account — we will refund 100% of the Stars paid.

Founding 400 ticket — 14-day cooling-off

If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off period, you may cancel a Founding 400 ticket purchase within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not yet used it to play any game. To exercise this right, contact us at [email protected] with your Telegram username within the cooling-off window.

By starting your first game session with a Founding 400 ticket, you waive the cooling-off right.

Unauthorized charges

If someone purchased a plan using your Telegram account without authorization, contact us within 14 days of the charge and provide reasonable evidence. We will work with you to refund the disputed Stars.

Duplicate purchase

If you accidentally purchased the same plan twice (e.g., two single-play tickets in rapid succession with neither having been used), contact us within 7 days. We will refund the duplicate.

Service unavailability

If the Service is unavailable for an extended continuous period (more than 72 hours) due to causes within our control, holders of active multi-day passes (week, month, full arc) are entitled to a pro-rata refund or an equivalent extension of access. Contact us to choose.

4. How to request a refund

  1. Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, OR send a message to @Fortystoriesbot on Telegram with the word "REFUND".
  2. Include: your Telegram username, the date and approximate time of the purchase, the plan you purchased, and a brief description of the issue.
  3. We will respond within 5 business days with a decision. If approved, the refund is processed via Telegram's native refund flow within an additional 3 business days.
  4. You will see the refunded Stars credited back to your Telegram wallet.

5. Prizes paid in error

If we discover that a prize was paid to a player whose score was later determined to be flagged, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid, we reserve the right to reverse the prize payment and reissue it to the rightful winner. We will notify all affected players within 24 hours of discovering the error.

6. Affiliate commissions paid in error

Affiliate commissions are subject to a 72-hour holdback. If a referred purchase is refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed within that window, the corresponding commission is reversed automatically. Outside the window, we may still claw back commissions on fraudulent referrals; you will be notified.

7. Telegram's role

Telegram Messenger Inc. is the payment processor for Telegram Stars. Telegram operates its own refund mechanisms and may issue refunds directly under its own policies. See telegram.org/tos/stars.

If your Stars purchase was charged to a credit card or in-app store (Apple App Store, Google Play), refund requests should be directed to the relevant store; we cannot reverse charges made outside the Telegram ecosystem.

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may pursue the dispute-resolution process described in section 16 of the Terms of Service.
